I have substantial experience working with individuals with many different backgrounds, nationalities, ethnicities, faiths, gender identities, sexual orientations, relationship unions, body types, physical abilities, cognitive abilities, family backgrounds, and life stages.
Adults I provide mental health counseling for individuals in a wide variety of age groups and backgrounds, dealing with a range of issues. These include major life events and transitions, grief and loss, relational challenges, and complex mental health conditions such as personality disorders and psychosis. I have additional training and certification working with trauma, and frequently work with issues involving immigration, multicultural relationships and families, and racial identity.
Teens I work clinically with individuals age 13 and up, while collaboratively working with parents in a supportive role.
Couples My approach involves viewing neither person in a relationship as the problem, but to provide care for the relationship itself while addressing communication, unmet needs, emotional regulation, and discovering the interactions between the relationship and the stories and backgrounds of each partner.
Families I work with families to facilitate communication and provide a safe space to explore difficult topics and experiences.
